~Tis the Season Card~

As you can see, I did not get around to the other cards I promised to show you this past weekend. {The joys of owning a restaurant} So since I have a few minutes before my son gets home from school, I thought I would share one with you now.
As you noticed, I was unable to do Christmas in July due to working so much & not having the energy to make cute cards. So since last months Card Class theme was do what you want, I made a Christmas card to get me pumped & my Christmas card list going to get things sent out in Nov. Anyone else that way? I just LOVE making Christmas cards over any other style card & maybe because Christmas is just so magical for me.
This card is measured as an 8 x 11 and the sentiment is on the inside...

~Happy Birthday...Post Card Style~

Good Morning!
I sat down this week & put a few cards together to share with you this weekend. The card I am showing you today is a simple put together Birthday card. What makes it so simple is that it is more of a post card style card than it is a normal card. You see the front & then flip it over & do your writing! I like cards like this because it is easier for me to display them on my fridge or up on my brag board. Do you have a favorite style?

Grab Life by the Beans...

Isn't it about time we get something new on the blog to show all of our devoted fans??? I am excited to say that here is that something new...
JRhoades and myself were finally able to sneak in a few hours to chillax, visit and create! With our schedules for the summer, we haven't had much opportunity at all with finding the time to get our creative juices flowing and updating the blog (shame on us)!
She bought a couple new stamp sets and we opted to use her new set by Paper Smooches "Cyber Cafe"... We loved it and had a hard time choosing which stamp to use (look below and see why).

I seriously can't wait to see what we create with the other stamps from this line...

Our lives have thrown us in a lot of various directions... My partner in creativity and her family have opened up a Cafe in a neighboring town and are staying quite busy. Currently my husband is finishing up a job locally and was told to prepare himself and the family to move for a potential out of town job. As we started preparing by letting family, friends, my work, etc know of the possibility of us moving - I started feeling quite nervous as I put in my two weeks notice at work and preparing my girls for a potential move (or as a dear friend put it - for an adventure). I felt this card symbolized how I should be feeling vs. how I have been feeling (nervous, anxious, excited, scared, overwhelmed - to name a few). I am grateful for friends who are always pushing me to look for the good and seeing that it quite possibly could be an adventure with wonderful opportunities in store for me and my family! Who knows what the future holds - so for me - I'll grab life by the beans and go for it!
